প্যারাডক্সিক্যাল সাজিদ – বই রিভিউ – বইটি পড়বেন যে কারণে প্যারাডক্সিক্যাল সাজিদ – সম্প্রতি সময়ে সবচাইতে বেশী আলোচিত বইয়ের একটি। সমাজে বিশ্বাসীদের আর অবিশ্বাসীদের মধ্যে কথার দ্বন্দ লেগে আছে বহু বহু বছর থেকে। কেউ যখন বিশ্বাস করে যে ধর্ম মানব রচিত, কেউ তখন বিশ্বাস করে ধর্ম স্রষ্টা প্রদত্ত। বিশ্বাসীদের আটকে দেবার মত কিছু প্রশ্ন অবিশ্বাসীরা সব সময় পকেটে নিয়ে ঘুরে। যখন যেখানে সুযোগ মিলে, বিশ্বাসীদের ঘায়েল করবার জন্য এই মারাত্মক প্রশ্ন গুলি ছুড়ে দেওয়া হয়। তেমনই কিছু প্রশ্নের উত্তর দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করা হয়েছে এই বইতে। প্যারাডক্সিক্যাল সাজিদ কে? মূলত বইয়ের লেখা গুলিকে গল্প আকারে সাজিয়ে চালিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে, যেখানে সাজিদ নামে একজন বিভিন্ন সময়ে বিভিন্ন উত্তর দিয়ে অবিশ্বাসীদের বিশ্বাসে ফাঁটল ধরাবার চেষ্টা করেছেন, তিনিই প্যারাডক্সিক্যাল সাজিদ। ‌কি আছে বইয়ে? বইটিতে অনেক প্রশ্নেরই উত্তর দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করা হয়েছে, তার মধ্যেঃ ‘তাকদির বনাম স্বাধীন ইচ্ছা’, স্রষ্টা কেন মন্দ কাজের দায় নেন না, স্রষ্টাকে সৃষ্টি করলো কে, রিলেটিভিটির গল্প, জাহান্নাম কেন, ডিএনএ’র জবানবন্দী সহ বিভিন্ন বিষয় ক...

Screw It, Let’s Do It (Book Review)   Screw It, Let’s Do It বইটি হাতে নেবার আগে ধরেই নিয়েছিলাম একটা ধাক্কা খাবো; এবং কিছু পরিবর্তন আসি আসি করবে। কিন্তু বইটি পড়ে শুধু ধাক্কা খাইনি, বলা যায় ধাক্কা খেয়ে পড়ে আবার উঠে দাড়িয়েছি। মাথার মধ্যে বন বন করে ঘুরছে কথা গুলি। বইটির লেখন ভার্জিন এয়ার লাইন্সের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা রিচার্ড ব্রাণসন । ২০১৭ সালের শুরুতেই একটা পণ করেছিলাম এ বছর অন্তত ৩০টা বই পড়বো। পরে মুনির হাসান স্যার এর পড়ো পড়ো পড়ো বইটি পড়ে সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম যে এ বছর ৩০ নয়, অন্তত ৪০টা বই পড়বো। এটা এ বছরের চতুর্থ বই। এবং বিদেশী লেখকের লেখা প্রথম বই। অর্থাৎ আগের তিনটিই ছিলো দেশি লেখকের, এর মধ্যে একটির কথা বলেছি, বাকি দুইটি হলো  Rethinking Failure  এবং  উদ্যোক্তার প্রি-স্কুল । আসুন, তাহলে একটা ছোট খাট রিভিউতে যাই। বইটিকে মোটিভেশনাল বই না বলে কেউ হয়ত লেখকের জীবনী বলতে চাইতেই পারেন। লেখক বিভিন্ন চ্যাপ্টারে ভাগ করে করে তার জীবন থেকে নেওয়া শিক্ষা গুলিকে সুন্দর করে সাজিয়ে লিখেছেন। লেখক কিভাবে তার মা-বাবা-পরিবার থেকে, তার কর্মী এবং পার্টনারদের কাছ থেকে বারে বারে অন...

Rethinking Failure (Book Review)   Rethinking Failure বইটি আমার হাতে আসে গতকাল দুপুরে, এর আগে অবশ্য বইটি তারও আগেরদিন  Hubdhaka র সোফার উপরে পড়ে থাকতে দেখেছি। হাতে নিয়ে নাড়াচাড়া করতেই বুঝলাম বইটির নাম ইংরেজীতে এবং বইটি ইংরেজীতে লেখা হলেও আদতে এটি বাংলাদেশী লেখকের লেখা। নাম আমার কাছে পরিচিত ছিলো না। পরে জানতে পারলাম তিনি Future Startup এর সহ প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মোহাম্মদ রুহুল কাদের । বইটির প্রতি আগ্রহ হবার যথেষ্ট কারণ তো পেয়েই গেলাম, তাই পড়তে শুরু করলাম। মাত্র ১৫ পৃষ্টা পড়বার পরই বাইরে চলে যেতে হবে জেনে একটু দোটানায় পড়লাম। হাবঢাকার নিয়ম ভেঙ্গে বই অফিসের লোকজনের অনুমতি নিয়েই বের হয়ে পড়লাম। শুরুতেই বলে রাখি, এখানে লেখক বইটিকে খুবই কম পৃষ্ঠায় (৫৩ পৃষ্ঠায়) সীমিত রেখেছেন। যাতে যে কেউ এক বসায় বইটি শেষ করে। সাধারণত ইংরেজী বই গুলির ইংরেজী তাদের মত হয়, তাদের টেষ্টটা পাওয়া যায়। কিন্তু যেহেতু দেশী লেখকের বই, তাই দেশী টেষ্টটা পেলাম, যেন দেশে বসে কারও মুখে দেশী টোনে কথা শুনছি। যাই হোক, বইটিতে প্রথমেই একটি ধারণা দেওয়া হয়েছে আসলে ব্যর্থতা বা failure বলতে আমরা যা বুঝি, সেভাবে চি...
